Art classes on ko-fi

I’ve launched a Ko-fi page!

First of all, let me tell you why I chose a donations platform to share my art classes.

For the longest time I harboured a desire to create online classes, or have a membership site. The idea of building a community and sharing content with people each month felt exciting, but I kept putting it off as other work and family life got in the way. Still, with another lockdown thrown at us seemingly overnight, and with it a turbulent mix of hopelessness and despair I knew I needed a focus to get me through the coming weeks and months ahead.

Because of the current situation I’d had a couple of illustration jobs postponed…and with glaring space in my planner I knew that it was as good a time as any to take the leap.

I had already researched different membership platforms, and discovered Ko-fi. I liked what they did and how it was managed and presented, it ticked a lot of boxes and gave me the opportunity to create my content in return for a small donation - the reason for this is to hopefully reach as many people as I can with my art, and make it affordable to those who may not be able to afford online courses, or make it to an in person workshop.

Each month I will share an art class where you’ll get step by step tuition in real time. I’ll also be sharing sketchbook tours, inspiration and creative prompts along with behind the scenes peeks of my life as an artist. All of the content will be exclusive to my Ko-fi page which means you won’t find it on social media, or anywhere else. My classes will share secret tips and techniques, my favourite materials and the ones that aren’t so good. My hope is to teach you to be a confident artist by exploring mixed media, and creating an original art work each month.

Joining is really easy too, you can hop on the platform and pay a one off monthly donation of £5 giving you thirty days access to all my content, or you can become a supporter who has a rolling membership, which you can run for as long as you want it to. As time goes by there will be more and more content to access, making it even better value in the long term!

I’ve made a short video which you can watch below.

If you’d like to visit my Ko-fi page to read a bit more about what’s on offer, or to sign up you can click the link below. Please get in touch if you’ve any questions about the membership I would love to hear from you, and I’m happy to help.
