We will do our utmost to help you sort out any problems but any claims for compensation are usually undertaken by the customer.
A commission piece of work is undertaken on the basis that the work is carried out in the style of the artist.
Julia will work with the customer throughout the design process providing sketch designs for the customer who will confirm which design is to be used as the final art piece. Once the customer has confirmed the design then work will commence on the final piece. Please note that once confirmation has been received, Julia will be working from the chosen design and major changes to the artwork from this stage onwards will not be accepted. Please be very certain that you are happy for Julia to commence work on the final piece and to make any changes before your final confirmation is given. Any changes or additions that are made during the painting or after its completion are done so at the discretion of the artist and may incur extra charges to the original quote to cover additional time and materials used. The quote for commission work includes all materials, shipping and the time that has been calculated to complete the piece of art.
Unwanted commission work:
When you commission a piece of work with the artist you are entering into a commitment with the artist. The item of work is to be paid for in full and no refunds will be issued, this is due to the personal nature of a commission piece and the fact that it may not be resaleable by the artist becasuse of this reason.
Refunds and returns:
If you receive an order that is unwanted, please get in touch within 48 hours with your reason for wishing to return. The goods must be in the exact condition they were received in, and returned in strong and secure packaging (please re-use the packaging that the items were sent in please). The cost of returning an unwanted item is the responsibility of the customer and the item must be returned within 7 days.
Refunds will be made to you through paypal.
Refunds and returns do not apply to commission art work due to the personal nature of a commission piece.
Refunds on damaged items: Once shipped, the responsibility of the goods are in the hands of the postal service/courier company. Should anything occur during transit the customer will need to claim compensation directly from the appropriate delivery service as we do not offer a refund policy on items damaged in transit. Please contact Julia Crossland Art in order to obtain proof of postage information to complete your claim.
